Coaches
Tom Jewitt
Head Coach
Head Coach Tom’s commitment to developing the boys has been unrelenting, heading up twice weekly training since 2015. Tom also led the weekly online training sessions throughout lockdown, keeping the boys motivated and maintaining a fantastic sense of team spirit. A terrific mentor to the boys, Tom – with his intelligent coaching style – ensures that every player reaches their full potential, whilst making sure they enjoy their rugby.
Tom is also a tactical genius, teammates confirming that he always out-thought the opposition during his playing career………. usually because he couldn’t outrun them.
Rob Dallimore
Coach
Rob ‘The Viper’ Dallimore has been part of the U15s coaching set-up since the boys started playing tag together at U7. Rob’s pre-match and half-time team talks are a thing of real beauty and if anyone can get the boys fired up it’s ‘The Viper’. Rob is a human dynamo and continues to run around the pitch during training sessions like a man possessed. A constant presence and inspiration to all the boys, Rob is what rugby is all about.
Ben Langdon
Coach
Ben ‘Langers’ Langdon is the poster boy of the coaching set-up. Rugged, handsome and with great hands, he claims to have never ‘knocked on’ during a rugby career that was of indeterminate duration.
He started out as a winger and ended up in the pack – it's the story of most men’s lives – so he knows a thing or two about every position on the pitch and brings this brilliantly rounded (or oval) experience to his coaching role.
Andy
Forwards Coach
Andy played senior rugby for Corsham during his illustrious career (his words not ours) and in 2020 joined the U15s coaching team to add his expert knowledge of the dark art of scrummaging. Nobody knows better than Andy how to ‘win a scrum’ and his coaching continues to develop Corsham’s forwards into a tight unit.
Josh
Assistant Coach
Josh joined the coaching team in 2020 following an injury whilst training with the Ealing Trailfinders. Ealing’s loss has been Corsham’s gain! Josh has brought new drills and activities to the training sessions, together with a huge passion for the game and a physical presence that the boys aspire to. Josh continues to rehabilitate, and we wish him well with his return to playing. In the meantime, he’s a valuable member of the coaching team and we consider ourselves fortunate to have him.
Martyn Watts
Team Manager / Registrar
Martyn is ‘The fixer’ of the U15s set-up. To some he’s an ‘Admin Wizard’; to others he’s a loud Welshman that sings badly during the Six Nations. Whatever he is, he’s the backbone of the team. Without his discreet organisational skills nothing would happen, and under his leadership the U14s continue to go from strength to strength.
